Following on from the An Súgán feasibility study (FS), the Visitor Experience Development (VED) has now been completed. This involved detailed planning and design of the proposed museum space – everything from how the inside of the building will look right down to the bilingual scripting for the interactive displays. The final VED is the result of many months of collaborative work between the Súgán team and Mirador Media.
Great care has been taken to ensure that the final museum space will deliver for all visitors – children, adults, those knowledgeable in Irish history, those with little knowledge, Gaelgeorí and those with no Irish.
The content has been designed to be thought-provoking. It asks questions about the subject matter on display. This will be of particular interest to visiting school parties. Extensive use of audio-visual interactives will be a feature of this visitor experience.
